About Ed
Three decades behind the camera on feature films, national commercials and documentaries. Now that lens is pointed at businesses on the Panhandle that deserve to be seen.
The Story
Ed Gutentag spent the better part of three decades as a working cinematographer and director in Hollywood — the kind of career most film students dream about and very few achieve. He shot features, directed commercials, lit scenes alongside stars, and operated cameras in conditions that would make most crews pause.
His credits include work on The Shawshank Redemption, War of the Worlds and Ant-Man. He directed a PSA alongside Harrison Ford, the Dalai Lama and Robin Williams. He placed film cameras inside a waterproof crash housing, inside a car, launched from the 18th floor of Chicago's Marina Towers for an Allstate national commercial. He traveled to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, to direct a fundraiser documentary as sole cinematographer.
Now he's on the Florida Panhandle — and the full weight of that career is available to your business. Restaurants, resorts, real estate, retail, service businesses up and down the Emerald Coast corridor. The same exacting standard that a Hollywood studio demands, at a price point built for this market.
He is also an early adopter of AI pre-visualization for architectural and commercial projects — letting clients see and sell the vision before a single dollar of production is committed.
If you're a Panhandle business that has always wanted to look the part but assumed that level of production was out of reach — it isn't. That's exactly why he's here.
